About Natalie

Patient, local, and on your side of the table.

Natalie is the founder of Hummingbird Senior Placement, and very likely the person who will answer when you call. She lives in Folsom, and she has spent years getting to know the senior communities here the only way that actually works — by walking through them, again and again, and paying attention.

Community owners know her, trust her, and often tell her about openings before they’re listed anywhere. Families know her for something simpler: she is calm when everything else isn’t. The weeks around a placement are heavy — health scares, family opinions, guilt, deadlines. Natalie’s gift is holding all of that steadily while quietly narrowing an overwhelming search to the two or three places genuinely worth your time.

She’ll tell you the truth, even when it costs her a placement. If a community isn’t right for your person, she says so. If what your family really needs isn’t something she offers, she’ll point you to someone good. That’s the practice she wanted to build — and the one she wishes her own family had found first.

How she works

Three quiet promises.

Patience

This is one of the biggest decisions a family makes, and it deserves room to breathe. Natalie moves at your pace — never a script, never a hard sell, never a countdown.

Presence

She shows up. On the phone when you’re sorting through feelings at 8pm, beside you on tours, and at the door on moving day. You work with one person the whole way.

Precision

The right fit hides in small things — a caregiver’s tenure, the noise at dinner, how a community handles a hard night. She keeps notes on all of it, community by community.

The name

For George.

Natalie’s father, George, lived with dementia. Her family knows what it is to search for the right place for someone you love — the touring, the questions you don’t know to ask yet, the hope of getting it right for a person who can no longer weigh in.

For Natalie, hummingbirds hold his memory: small, bright, impossible to forget. Naming the company for him is a daily reminder of the standard every family deserves — and it’s why she treats every search like her own.
